Title: Treatment of long-range interactions: the Ewald Sum

Abstract: 
 The Ewald sum is the best technique for calculating long-range interactions
in a periodic system. I will introduce derivation of the Ewald Sum formula
for a system of charged point ions mutually interacting via the Coulomb
potential.
